I believe many of the challenges we face (whether anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, or substance use) are shaped by our experiences with others. If you’re feeling stuck in patterns that leave you disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can be a space to better understand those patterns and begin creating meaningful change.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #148499) with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an LGBTQ+ emphasis from Santa Clara University, and I practice under the clinical supervision of Carmen Isais, LMFT. My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, while also incorporating attachment-based and Family Systems perspectives. I take a harm reduction approach to substance use, meeting you where you are without judgment and supporting you in making changes that align with your values—whether that means reducing use, building insight, or working toward sobriety.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families, and I’m passionate about supporting adults and couples as well. My background includes working with trauma, anxiety, substance use, life transitions, and complex family dynamics. I also provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care and specialize in work with gender-diverse, as well as queer clients, creating a space where all parts of your identity are respected and celebrated.
Together, we can build practical skills for emotion regulation and navigating urges, while also improving communication and strengthening relationships. My goal is to offer a space where you feel safe and understood, and met with unconditional support. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, healing from past experiences, or working through substance use, we’ll collaborate at a pace that feels right for you.
