Tyler Cavett, MFT Trainee

Hello and welcome! I’m Tyler, but you can call me Ty. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counseling Trainee committed to creating a space where healing, growth, and self-discovery can unfold.

If you’re here, something in your life may feel overwhelming. Perhaps you’re struggling with stress, disconnection, or relationship challenges. Maybe you’ve lost touch with who you are. Whatever brought you to this moment, it’s taken courage to seek support—and that’s a meaningful step forward.

I strive to offer a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your story and reclaim your sense of self. My approach is integrative, flexible, and collaborative—tailored to meet your unique needs. Before becoming a therapist-in-training, I spent over a decade working in libraries, where I developed a deep appreciation for the stories people carry—those we consciously write and those shaped by invisible forces around us.

In our work together, we’ll approach life’s challenges with curiosity, openness, creativity, and even a bit of humor. We’ll explore the past and present patterns that may be influencing your current experiences and gently work toward meaningful, achievable change.

I believe each person holds an innate capacity for growth and healing. Sometimes, we just need the right support to uncover it.

As an unlicensed clinician, I work under the clinical supervision of Carmen Isais, LMFT #115123. If you have questions or would like to explore counseling with me, please reach out now at 530.341.8180 or complete the request for a free 15-minute initial consult and schedule a call with our office to make certain we are a right fit.

I look forward to walking alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, connection, and well-being.
