You may be managing work, school, and relationships fairly well from the outside, yet still feel a persistent undercurrent of anxiety, self-doubt, or dissatisfaction. Perhaps you notice repeating patterns in your relationships, have difficulty setting boundaries, or find yourself overthinking and second-guessing your decisions. You might feel like you “should” be doing fine, but internally you feel stuck and unsure how to create the shifts you’re looking for.
As an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, I work primarily with adults who are generally high-functioning but experiencing anxiety, mood concerns, and challenges in relationships or life transitions. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy, with attention to how earlier experiences and important relationships shape your current emotional world, coping strategies, and sense of self. Together, we’ll take a thoughtful, structured look at what’s going on beneath the surface, so that patterns start to feel more understandable—and more changeable.
In our work, we’ll focus on both insight and practical change. This may include developing a more compassionate internal voice, improving communication in relationships, understanding and shifting unhelpful behavior patterns, and feeling more grounded during stress or transition. I aim to provide a stable, reflective space where you can be honest, feel understood, and gradually move toward a life that feels more congruent with your values rather than driven by anxiety or old habits.
If you’re motivated to better understand yourself and are ready to engage in meaningful, longer-term change, I would be glad to talk with you. I work under the clinical supervision of Carmen Isais, LMFT #115123. If you have questions or would like to explore counseling with me, please reach out now at 530.341.8180 or complete the request for a free 15-minute initial consult and schedule a call with our office to make certain we are a right fit.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you in reaching your therapy goals.
