Lori Sievers, AMFT

With empathy, non-judgment, respect, humility, and, when appropriate, humor, it is my mission and honor to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing space for those wishing to become their most resilient, fulfilled, and authentic selves. Through a client-centered, solution-focused approach, I support clients in discovering and building on their unique, innate strengths. Recognizing that everyone has their own way of processing and healing, I draw on a variety of therapies and modalities to best meet each client’s individual needs.

As a full-time single mom with a background in small-scale sustainable agriculture, I am no stranger to challenges and grief. These lived experiences bring a high level of understanding, awareness, and compassion to my work. I know that with farming, as in life, many things are out of our control. We often find ourselves faced with what seem like insurmountable challenges, sometimes through no fault of our own. What is in our control, however, is how we respond to these challenges. It is through the process of facing our struggles that we learn just how strong and capable we truly are.

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #161519) working under the clinical supervision of Lee Ockenden, LMFT #38216. I would be honored to assist you in achieving your therapeutic goals. If you have questions or would like to explore counseling with me, please reach out at 530.341.8180 or complete the request for a free 15-minute initial consultation to schedule a call with our office and ensure we are the right fit.

I commend you for taking these brave first steps. You’re already on your way!
